Pöppelmann TEKU:

"Future-orientated impetus for the 'green industry' with resource-saving products and improved automation"

With new products and innovative concepts, Pöppelmann TEKU® is further expanding its consistent commitment to conserving resources and protecting the climate. The Pöppelmann Group division is focusing on the circular economy. The plastics specialist has minimized the proportion of new plastics in its product range. In addition, Pöppelmann TEKU develops modern automation solutions together with and for customers from the professional horticulture sector with products that are designed for smooth machine processing.

Circular360 closed-circuit product range
Pöppelmann TEKU has further expanded its range of closed-circuit products from the Circular360 category to conserve resources and protect the climate. The plant pots consist of 100 percent post-consumer recyclates in the plastic used and can be fully recycled again after use. They are certified by cyclos-HTP and RecyClass and bear the Blue Angel eco-label. TEKU is thus focusing on the circular economy as the demonstrably greatest lever for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.1 (GHG) emissions: GHG emissions can be effectively reduced through the use of recyclates and a recycling-friendly product design, as demonstrated, for example, by a study by the Fraunhofer Institute Umsicht using the example of TEKU Circular360 plant pots.

Entering the circular economy with a Baseline
With the Baseline product range, Pöppelmann TEKU also offers a resource-saving alternative to non-recyclable black plant pots. The plastics specialist is thus also making it possible to enter the circular economy in this segment. Baseline articles consist of post-consumer recyclate and a proportion of post-industrial recyclate (PIR), which is recycled production waste, e.g., sprues that have not yet been used. The baseline range has now been significantly expanded once again.

Optimized automation: reliable machine processing
In the field of automation, horticultural businesses can also look forward to a series of optimizations that make automated processes even easier. New details on pots and trays simplify machine handling. These include, for example, a new edge design for plant pots, which simplifies the adjustment of potting machines and increases the compression strength of the pot poles. The cavity geometries of young plant pallets have been optimized together with customers for even better plant growth. The consistently reliable high quality in product molding and the stability of each individual item contribute to the trouble-free automated processing of Pöppelmann TEKU products.
