The Greenery has appointed Willem-Jan Boelema as CCO (chief commercial officer) of The Greenery. He started on March 1 this year.
In his new role, Willem-Jan Boelema will be responsible for all commercial activities within The Greenery. This includes clear final responsibility in the field of commerce, with Arthur Swijter remaining responsible for Finance under David's overall leadership as CEO. Together, they form a team of hands-on, flexible, and agile leaders who are committed to efficient operations, optimal services, and long-term partnerships in the chain, with a focus on satisfied growers and customers.
With a background at well-established companies such as Jumbo and Shell, where he held various commercial, international, and strategic positions, Willem-Jan Boelema brings a lot of experience. Since 2019, he has worked at The Greenery, where he served first as Commercial Director of Benelux, Retail and later as Director of International. He has played an integral role in the development and implementation of the Focus 2025 strategy aimed at maximizing value creation for growers.
