Ukraine: New greenhouse complex established in Volyn region by supporting government grant

Taras Shcherblyuk, the owner of the farm "Volyn Garden," got a grant of 3.5 million Ukrainian hryvnias for the construction of greenhouses.

Specializing in orcharding since 2012, particularly in apple and cherry cultivation, the enterprise decided to venture into greenhouse farming upon learning about the opportunity to obtain a government grant.

Last year, the entrepreneur applied through the "Diya" portal and successfully received the grant, which was utilized for building modular greenhouses.

The project, covering an area of 0.8 hectares, involves the completion of 11 greenhouses. One of them, serving as a nursery greenhouse, is already operational. The first cucumber seedlings have been planted in closed ground, with a harvest expected by early May.

Adjacent to the farm, Shcherblyuk installed a solid fuel boiler with a capacity of 1 MW, operating on straw pellets, to maintain a stable temperature within the greenhouses.
