In 2023, Azerbaijan's greenhouses yielded approximately 270,000 tons of tomatoes, as reported by the State Statistics Committee Agency.
As of January 1, 2024, Azerbaijan boasted 3,228 greenhouses spanning a total area of 1,600 hectares. These greenhouses contributed to the production of 268,900 tons of tomatoes, 10,400 tons of cucumbers, 590.6 tons of mushrooms, 33 tons of onions, 22.8 tons of cabbage, 21.9 tons of beans, 13.2 tons of peppers, 7.8 tons of aubergines, 2.9 tons of garlic, and 193.6 tons of strawberries.
The highest yields were observed in greenhouse complexes located in the Absheron, Khazar, Shamkir, Salyan, Sabunchu, Binagadi, Samukh, Tovuz, Kurdamir, and Sabirabad districts.
Azerbaijan's greenhouse industry continues to flourish, showcasing significant contributions to the nation's agricultural landscape and economy.
