Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food supports greenhouse projects

The Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has recently announced its support for greenhouse development projects initiated by farmers in the Cherkasy region. According to the Department of Agricultural Industrial Development of the Regional State Administration, the ministry has given the green light to a project to construct a modular greenhouse spanning 0.49 hectares intended for raspberry cultivation.

Since the beginning of 2024, an impressive sum of 2 million hryvnias (EUR 48,474) has been disbursed to the agricultural enterprise as part of the government's grant program.

A total of 169.8 million hryvnias (EUR 4.12 million) have been allocated to 32 enterprises for greenhouse projects since the program's inception.

In 2023 alone, grants totaling 159.4 million hryvnias (EUR 3.86 million) were issued to advance greenhouse farming.

The funding for agricultural producers under the government's "eWork" program from 2024 to 2025 is made possible through the support of the World Bank under the "Emergency Inclusive Support Project for the Restoration of Agriculture in Ukraine (ARISE)." This initiative aims to provide inclusive assistance to revitalize Ukraine's agricultural sector, ensuring its resilience and sustainability in the face of challenges.
