Hanging system contributes to 1.5kg per strawberryplant achievement

In the spring and summer of 2023, a Northern European farming family achieved 1.5kg per plant of the perennial Malling Ace variety. This achievement was reached after the farming family installed the "Evolution" hanging system of Hydroponic Systems. This company says that a density of 8 rows per 9.60-meter bay, allowing each plant to develop to its maximum potential, contributed to the achievement.

According to Hydroponic Systems, the "Evolution" system with metal gutter allows for greater control over the strawberry plant and the avoidance of plant diseases, promoting a higher final total production. In addition, the system aims to promote root aeration and oxygenation. The roots, sealed in their bag, had no contact with any surface other than the material they needed to grow and produce more.
