Kuban of Russia supplies greenhouse products to neighboring areas and abroad

Kuban's greenhouse farming sector supplies the region and neighboring areas and abroad. In 2023, over 250 hectares of greenhouses in Kuban, Russia, produced 115,000 tons of fruits and vegetables, with projections for further expansion in 2024.

Major greenhouse complexes in districts like Dinskoy, Krasnoarmeyskoy, and Timashevsky contribute over 95% of the region's produce, focusing mainly on cucumbers (52%) and tomatoes (46%), including cherry varieties.

In addition to vegetables, mushrooms are cultivated across four industrial enterprises in Krasnodar, Korenovsky, and Krylovsky districts, along with flower cultivation, reducing reliance on imports and promoting local varieties.

Modernization efforts include the adoption of smart, automated systems to optimize conditions and maximize yields while reducing human intervention. Moreover, strategic fertilization methods ensure quality yields, using mineral, organic, and complex fertilizers.
