NethWork starts demo project in Guatemala

Two years ago, a unique horticultural started. NethWork (Think Orange, Green Grow) consists of 17 complementary businesses, focusing on innovative and sustainable development of horticulture in Central America.

Central America is a region with great potential for further development of crops and greenhouse vegetables, cut flowers, potted plants and starting material. However, it is often a lack of knowledge and technology hindering people in implementing (sustainable) ways and that is exactly where NethWork comes in.

NethWork needed a pilot project to show its advancements in the field of sustainability and innovation. On April 25, in Guatemala, this resulted in the launch of its 'Journey2Sustainability' on the grounds of PALKI, world leader in the manufacture of guatemalensis Beaucarnea and Yucca guatemalensis.

Journey2Sustainability (J2S)
J2S is basically an upgrade of Palki, a nursery which serves as an example in the field of innovation and sustainability. See the video below:

Starting point
The upgrade of Palki, the leading company in Central America in the field of potted plants, ensures Palki can compete with her colleagues. Still, the opening of Journey2Sustainabiliy can be considered a starting point. Unpretentious but with huge ambition.

Orange Trophy
The start of 'Journey2Sustainability' was brightened due to the presence of the participants in the Orange Trophy, en route to the World Cup in Brazil.
