"Spain: Ulma Agrícola sets up first "Gothic Multichapel" greenhouse"

Villa del Prado is a Spanish municipality in the province of Madrid, located about 60 kilometres from the capital, with a microclimate which has earned it the nickname of "the Garden of Madrid." At Villa del Prado there are currently 65 horticultural holdings with a total area of 167 hectares, of which 52 are devoted to greenhouse crops.

In recent decades, numerous investments have been made for the modernisation and professionalisation of the area and Ulma Agrícola has taken part in this process by installing the first "Gothic Multichapel" type greenhouse to cover about 4,000 square metres, equipped with supercénit and roller perimeter ventilation to facilitate the renewal of air inside the greenhouse. This type of greenhouse structure has been perfectly adapted to the municipality's climatic needs and the model is likely to serve as an example for the construction of future facilities in the area.
