Canada: Monsanto fund supports the future of agriculture
“One of the most exciting things about the Student Liaison program is the ability to foster curiosity and a passion for science and agriculture among young people,” says Trish Jordan, Public and Industry Affairs Director for Monsanto Canada.
“The Monsanto Fund seeks out opportunities to enrich existing school programs in the areas of science, technology and agriculture and provide experiential learning opportunities to students that otherwise might not exist.”
The agri-food sector is growing and the demand for competent industry leaders is ever increasing. The sector contributes more than $33 billion annually to Ontario’s gross domestic product and sustains more than 200,000 jobs.
