Japanese PM Shinzo Abe visits Dutch pepper nursery

Apparently, the Nuclear Security Summit in The Netherlands was also a reason for some international big shots to take a closer look at the Dutch greenhouses. Japan seems to be seriously interested in high tech horticulture as the Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe paid a visit to Dutch pepper grower Valstar in The Westland. Together with a group of Dutch entrepreneurs the owners of the Nursery, growers Wibo and Ewout, are involved in a special project to deploy high tech horticulture in Japan.

Carolien Valstar of Valstar Nursery made a photo report, click here to view it.

"In this huge greenhouse, we see so many paprikas! Holland, the No.2 net exporter of agricultural products, provides a good model of the future agriculture of Japan", said Hikariko ONO of the Japanese ministry."PM Abe is enjoying a fresh green pepper. It is so sweeeet!"
