So what's going on at the exhibition? Saturday was filled with the sessions, tours & workshops and, to many suppliers, decorating of the booths. After the Flower Run yesterday morning, the trade show opened it's doors.
The first day of the show was a bit slow to some exhibitors, while others claimed to have a solid day. For today expectations are higher since Monday regularly is the busiest day. And let's not forget visitors have to make quite a stroll to visit all of the exhibition: even though the floor plan is structured and clear, it will take some time to pass by all of the 650+ exhibitors.
Catching up
The industry has shifted over the last couple of years and so has the character of the show. While work is still booming and especially the canna-switch offers new opportunities, technical suppliers are having a harder time planning their activities than filling up the agenda in the first place. Meeting up with acquaintances, catching up with friends and finally having the chance to see the face behind the e-mails therefor is key at the Cultivate. Business, novelties and innovations are still to be found and especially many new varieties are being shown, but connections and networking are on the schedule as well.
