Russia: 22 ha greenhouse under construction in Chuvashia

The first phase of the greenhouse complex with an acreage of 11 ha is planned to be launched in the Cheboksary area of Chuvashia at the end of 2018. Currently, the investors are completing work on the project estimate documentation. This was announced in a working meeting of the Head of the republic, Mr. Mihail Ignatiev, with the Deputy Director of the Renova company group, Mr. Vladimir Lukyanov.

The investment project, 'Greenhouse complex Novocherkassky', is carried out on the territory of the rural settlement Atlashevsky in the Cheboksary area. The project documentation of the first phase of the greenhouse has been prepared, and a positive expert conclusion has been received. At the moment, the documentation for the second phase is being worked on. The complex is simultaneously being equipped with the required infrastructure: auctions for water supply and a highway construction have been announced.

Mr. Ignatiev has announced that the plan is to launch the first phase of greenhouses of 11 ha by the end of the year. He also underlined that the investment project has been acknowledged as a top priority and has confirmed support in all related matters. 

The overall investments amount to 88 million euros. According to the authorities, investments have comprised 25.8 million euros. The greenhouse complex of 22 ha for year-round vegetable growing will be launched in phases: the first phase will be completed by the end of 2018, the second one by the fourth quarter of 2019. It was announced earlier that the production volume would reach 15 thousand tons.

According to the investors’ calculations, when completed, the project will allow the creation of 500 jobs, and in 2018 additional recruitment for 250 employees is planned.
