The greenhouse complex Sunzha will be producing 10 thousand tons of vegetables per year

First crops expected in the greenhouse complex in Ingushetia by October

The first crops of the greenhouse complex Sunzha in Ingushetia with the acreage of 10 ha will be harvested in October. When the second phase of the agricomplex opens, the Republic will meet their own demand in vegetables by 100%, announced the Head of Ingushetia, Mr. Yunus-Bek Yevkurov in the interviews at the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.
Agricomplex Sunzha will be producing tomatoes, greenery and lettuce in accordance with Dutch technologies. When the projected capacity is achieved, the enterprise will be producing about 10 thousand tons of vegetables and greenery per year.

“As of today the project is 60% completed, we have signed the agreement with the North Caucasus Development Corporation and we are receiving support from them too. The first crops from the existing 10 ha of greenhouses will be harvested in October, and we are going to start works on the next phase of 25 ha this year”, mentioned Mr. Yevkurov.

According to him, the completion of the project will not only bring profit and stability to the region and create new employment opportunities but also will meet the regional demand for vegetables by 100%.

“We could say that today we provide ourselves with fruit, we have one of the most advanced orchards in Europe, which exports produce to 70 regions of the country. And when we launch the entire greenhouse, we could say that we provide ourselves with both fruit and vegetables by 100%”, added the Head of the Republic.
