Russia: New greenhouse to be built in Tambov region

The administration of Tambov region are planning to realize a greenhouse complex project in Michurinsky district with investments amounting to 388.2 million Euro. 

The construction plans were discussed by the Head of the region, Mr. Aleksandr Nikitin and the General Director of the company Greenhouse Growth, Mr. Sergey Rukin last Friday within the Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.

According to the regional administration, the project will get the name Michurinsky and will include vacuum type greenhouses with “smart glass” and LED plant illumination system for vegetable and greenery production.

“Michurinsky complex will consist of sorting zones, seedlings department, and a training centre. Capital investments will exceed 388 million Euro, 1.5 thousand workplaces will be created”, added the representatives of the administration having specified that the project is almost ready and the concessional loan of Rosselhozbank for the project in 2018 will amount to 970.6 thousand Euro.
