Californian man suing Hilton Houston

Banana peel slip on lettuce leave - $200,000 to $1 million claim

A California man is suing the Hilton Houston Downtown after he says he slipped on a piece of lettuce and was "severely injured."

William Anthony Packard of Orange County filed the lawsuit against hotel owner American Liberty Hospitality Inc. on April 17 in Harris County District Court. Packard is seeking $200,000 to $1 million for his alleged injuries at the 1515 Dallas St. hotel.

"The fall was so traumatic that Mr. Packard remembers seeing both his feet fly above his head in a textbook 'Banana Peel Slip,'" court records read.
