Powerhouse and Energy Pool bundle forces for supplying emergency power

Powerhouse is in development and manifests itself more and more as the energy-tech company in the energy market. With regard to this development Powerhouse and Energy Pool have entered a strategical cooperation for supplying emergency power. This further expands the business of Energy Pool, the European demand response solution provider, into the Dutch energy market, and brings along experience from multiple countries.

Powerhouse has been active in the Dutch energy market since 2005 and has gained much experience and knowledge. The cooperation means a bundling of powers. "In the energy market developments are rapid and that also applies to developments in hard and software. Instead of Powerhouse developing everything by itself, they are making use of the advanced technology of Energy Pool. This gives Powerhouse the option to grow quicker and extend its portfolio with new innovative management services."

Emergency power
Winning the joint bid for the Tennet tender in May shows according to both companies that the cooperation is a success. The first commercial success is a fact. Emergency power will be more necessary in the future because of a less predictable market, and so Tennet will make more use of emergency power. The intent is to further extend the cooperation in the coming period and that more commercial successes are made.
