As springhas hit Denmark, the strawberry season has also kicked off, and just like lastyear the first strawberries can be bought in a small number of stores.
Thecustomer must be quick, because the first harvest is not that big, and thestrawberries can only be bought at Kvickly, SuperBrugsen, Dagli’Brusen, Fakta,and Irma, mostly in Copenhagen and the surroundings, but of course also atSuperBrugsen in Skælskør.
This year, grower company Hunsballe Grønt near Skælskør is again the first to sell.They grow strawberries in a modern greenhouse specially equipped forstrawberries, and because of the beautiful weather of the past few days the firststrawberries could be harvested.
The first Danish strawberries are sold for 3.50 euro per 250 gram. Thefirst harvest consists of 250 boxes of 250 grams each, which were divided overten different stores.
