By Nadezhda Goncharova

The administration of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Karelia (Russia) informed that since March 5, 2018 the Ministry of food, agriculture and livestock of Turkey is allowed to import certain kinds of quarantined produce on the territory of Russia, under the condition that the products originate for the Republic of Turkey. The liberalization is applied to pomegranates, bell peppers, lettuce, pumpkins, eggplants and other cucurbits. The necessary condition for the delivery of the mentioned products to Russia is the presence of original phytosanitary certificates accompanying the quarantined products.
