Peppers can be grown without minimum pipe
A Dutch trial on Next Generation Growing has shown it's possible to grow 34 kg/m2 peppers using 16.8 m3 gas. "I was very skeptical about the goals set in advance, but we cleared those amply," says Stefan Hendriks of Delphy. "The trial showed we can grow without minimum pipe.

There is currently a very scarce supply of vegetables, and prices are sky-high. Due to the cold in southern countries, and minimal supply in Belgium and the Netherlands, various vegetable shelves in supermarkets are bare. Today, we received an update from Spain and other European countries about this bizarre situation.

As a producer of vine and loose tomatoes, now with 4 hectares under glass, Jean-René Briand is an innovative grower. During the summer of 2016, he set up 8000 m˛ of greenhouses with light from sodium lamps (HPS) combined with LED lighting, from the company Hortilux.
Large Russian greenhouse files for bankruptcy
The recent bankruptcy of Evrika, one of the largest greenhouse complexes in Northwest Russia, once again shows that Russia needs more than just greenhouses and natural gas to become self sufficient. The history of Evrika (Russian for 'Eureka') has been marked by financial difficulties and bankruptcy.
