UK: Ecospray appoints Robert Lidstone as Commercial Manager
With twenty five years’ experience in the crop protection industry Robert has extensive knowledge of both broad-acre and speciality crops as well as expertise in bringing specialist crop protection technology to the market. As Marketing and Business Development Manager for Certis UK, he successfully introduced a number of new products, including Sluxx (a molluscide based on a new active ingredient ferric phosphate) which is now the market leading alternative to established products based on active ingredient metaldehyde which has been in the market for over 50 years.
Robert is no stranger to Ecospray having introduced NEMguard to the UK market as well as playing an instrumental role in their introduction to the Netherlands and France. Natural and sustainable technology is the fundamental philosophy of Ecospray who are successfully demonstrating that products based on natural plant extracts are not inferior to conventional chemistry. Robert has extensive knowledge of bio-rational solutions and their introduction to the market and fitting them into grower practices, either replacing or alongside conventional chemistry in a programmed approach, in order to achieve antiresistance and residue reduction programmes.
