The company is completely automated and deals with the production of both organic and grafted plants, as well as plants for extensive and intensive cultivation, herbs, flowers and chilli peppers.

Vivai Bioplant complies with the requirements of current regulations and produces around 12-15 million plants every year. Its production cycles combine tradition and innovation.
Automated climate control greenhouse
"We decided to work with some local institutions because our company is part of our territory's society and economy. This year, for example, we had the pleasure of working with the Agricultural section of Istituto 'Quintino Cataudella' in Scicli," reports Ignazio Cartia.
"Working with private and public bodies is essential to keep up to speed with varietal innovation, so much so that we often welcome representatives from leading seed companies, agronomists and University professors."
The facility covers over one hectare and includes both the warehouse and greenhouse.
The warehouse includes the offices, sowing line, germination chamber, grafting unit and processing units. The greenhouse is divided into three areas, with one destined to organic cultivation.
The entire facility is air-conditioned and a control panel enables the setting of parameters such as temperature, humidity, light, etc. so as to create the ideal environment for all plants.
