Lettuce varieties Enza Zaden resistant to new Bremia race BI:33EU

The International Bremia Evaluation Board for the EU (IBEB-EU) recently announced a new race of Bremia, BI:33EU. Tests by Enza Zaden confirm that a large part of their lettuce portfolio is resistant to this new race and also resistant to the full range of Bremia races Bl:16-33EU. Enza created a leaflet with an overview of all their lettuce varieties that have this new Bremia BI:33EU resistance. Also the production section on the company's local websites is updated with this new information.

Bremia lactucae, causing downy mildew in lettuce, is genetically very variable. Breeders are working together to monitor the changes in the Bremia population in response to the introduction of increased resistances.
