Start-up introduces scalable hydroponic growing system

Phytoponics recently had the opportunity to present their start-up at the Startupbootcamp Foodtech Demo day in Rome, sponsored by Cisco.

They celebrated the end of the accelerator program with a successful pitch from CEO Adam Dixon, in front of more than 500 investors, corporates, guests and press attendees in the venue of Auditorium Parco della Musica.

During the past three months they have been working hard, mentored by accomplished professionals such as Peter Kruger & Paolo Cuccia. Thanks to their support Phytoponics are currently installing our first pilot trial with one of the market leading commercial growers in Italy.

During the event the company took the opportunity to open their seed round which will close in May 2017. They are asking for €500K and, during the pitch they announced for the first time that Finance Wales will cover 44% of them. The money raised will support the launch of the product in Italy in August and on the improvement of the production system, fully automating it.
