US(NY): Empire State Producers Expo presentations available online

The 2017 Empire State Producers Expo was held from January 17-19 at the OnCenter Convention Center in Syracuse, NY. This annual show combines the major fruit, flower, vegetable, and direct marketing associations of New York State in order to provide a comprehensive trade show and educational conference for New York producers, as well as neighboring states and Eastern Canada.

At the show, many presentations were given by Cornell Cooperative Extension personnel and highly regarded speakers from across the country. Panel discussions featured some of the top industry experts and growers in New York. Between educational sessions, attendees can visit the trade show featuring over 150 commercial vendors and non-profit exhibitors.

The presentations from the 2017 conference can all be found online at the website of the the conference. Among many others, there are some interesting presentations available in regards to year round greenhouse vegetable cultivation and marketing. Especially a presentation from Cornell's Neil Mattson called ''Controlled Environment Agriculture for year‐round vegetables: Production systems, costs, and potential crop yield", can be very useful for those interested in a starting up a new hydroponic greenhouse venture.
