April 3-7, Tucson

US (AZ): Learn all about CEA at UofA short course

Supercharge your indoor and greenhouse growing knowhow at the 16th Annual Greenhouse Crop Production & Engineering Design Short Course of the University of Arizona Controlled Environmental Agriculture Center [UofA-CEAC]. Join the short course in Tucson, Arizona from April 3rd – 7th, 2017. They’re moving to new facilities and revitalized the program.

You’re invited to ignite your greenhouse systems with sunlight and supplemental lighting systems and programs. Elevate and expand your bottom-line with new, 10X water and nutrient efficient, green acres in “Vertical Farming” workshops and demonstrations. And expand crop production with the “best integrated program for CEA in North America” (Tech Frontier Reports, 2016).

The Exhibitor Gallery is ripening with a dozen industry partners currently committed to participating in the event.

The jam-packed 5-day event is a laser-cut harvest of information from experts in research, production and the bottom-line business of controlled environment agriculture. You have two and half days of intensely focused sessions on all the science, technology and practice knowledge necessary to make your growing businesses improve. You’ll also have face-to-face time with industry experts on your special questions, as well as networking time with industry leaders, with personal follow-ups that phone and social contacts bring. “CEAC is a hub for indoor ag education, research and networking” (Seedstock, 2016) and their resources offer information and expertise master growers use to mark and spotlight their production crops and access the booming North American and global markets.

At greenhouses of the UofA-CEAC you’ll smell the vines that hold the tasty fruits of success, and with full-days of hands-on training workshops led by globally renowned research and production specialists of the University of Arizona, your business will grow greener and riper. Meeting and learning from research specialists, growers, and top industry players, will provide you with the opportunity to practice the techniques and learn about new emerging systems that will take you and your business far into the future.

This year’s program is moving to new facilities in the heart of Tucson, where you’ll be immersed in the uniqueness of the city, a stone’s throw from the University of Arizona Campus, and just minutes away on the Modern Streetcar from a downtown scene offering a buzzing like greenhouse bees and access to eateries that have made Tucson the very first UNESCO World City of Gastronomy in the USA.

For those unable to make the visit to Tucson in person, there are webcast options for online participation.

Registration is open to become an exhibitor, sponsor or attendee. Call UofA-CEAC to get best spots and make arrangements.
