India: IHHR opens new food safety lab

A state of the art Food Safety Referral Laboratory for testing contaminants in food, especially in horticultural produce has been recently established at ICAR-IIHR. The laboratory was inaugurated on 8th January, 2017.



The laboratory has been established with support from ICAR. The Laboratory is an ultra modern facility created for analysis of customer samples for, pesticide residues, heavy metals, mycotoxins, microbial pathogens, non-permitted dyes and other contaminants in food.
