Focus on engineering ensures growth at Patron Agri Systems

As of 2008, the Patron Agri Systems Group in Maasdijk has strongly focused on engineering. It seems like that has been a good move because the company has been doing really well since then. Ronald Begelinger, director/owner of the Patron Agri Systems Group: "The changed market called for innovative solutions because there was more demand for customization. This was emphasized by higher quality requirements and increasing export. We jumped right into this." Now they get more and more orders from greenhouse builders and consultants. According to Ronald, these parties want engineers who think along with them and offer suitable solutions.

Horticulture the Netherlands is doing a catch-up in terms of investment. Fortunely the market is improving for growers and delayed maintenance can now be done. .Ronald: "We could still do much more, but are short on people. We have room for new electrotechnical technicians, engineers and projectcalculators."

Besides Dutch companies, foreign growers are also increasingly looking to directly contact them. They are now active in various parts of the world. One current project is the one in India and the first containers are currently underway. "A Centre of Excellence is being built in Baramati in India. It is a showcase project that will be visited by thousands of farmers. The employees of this complex will be intensively supervised in the initial period. They are learning how to get the best results from these greenhouses," says Ronald. It's a turnkey project under the flag of Patron. Ronald: "India is a growth market. The country is growing rapidly in terms of population and financially. The need for good and safe food is growing in India."

Patron Agri Systems Group has three divisions: Enthoven (Priva dealer), Patron Agri Systems (Hoogendoorn dealer) and Patron Agri Systems International (the group’s export division)
