New De Ruiter pepper named 'San Siro'

Over the last months, de Ruiter introduced several new yellow bell peppers. DR2179PB is one of them. The results of this yellow bell pepper were convincing enough to give it a name: San Siro.

De Ruiter already has extensively presented San Siro and the other new yellow bell peppers – Ballaidos and DR1161PB – to growers, plant breeders, advisors and other professionals during the Dutch open days for yellow pepper growers.

San Siro is a very productive variety, with an excellent early production. It grows vigorously and is very generative and in complete balance. The open crop has the right fruit covering.

Leo Lansbergen, product- and marketing manager of De Ruiter: "San Siro has proven itself. We have intensively tested the new variety the past four years. The results of these trials were excellent. We are also happy with the intermediair results of the bell pepper trials at the trial centre in Hoogstraten, Belgium. By the end of September San Siro delivered the highest production."
