Russia: Lipetsk Agro opts for 9.5 ha of KUBO’s Ultra Clima® greenhouse

The Ultra Clima® greenhouse can now be found in many places around the world. Following Canada, France, America, Turkey, Slovenia, Australia, Mexico and the Netherlands, Russia is the next country to become acquainted with KUBO’s Ultra Clima® greenhouse.

Together with its Russian partners KVR Greenhouse Projects and FITO, KUBO will be constructing the Lipetsk Agro project (9,5 ha) in the Lipetsk region, around 350 km south of Moscow. Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture has designated this area as a special agricultural economic zone. The Russian government is an ardent advocate of investing in the best and latest agricultural technologies.

Also, the Ultra Clima® greenhouse is the perfect concept for regulating the unsteady (hot summers, cold winters) Russian climate, and the residual heat/energy from the artificial lighting can be reused in the greenhouse.

The initial construction materials are currently ready for shipment and construction itself will start in mid-July 2013. The first tomatoes will be harvested in early 2014.
The benefits of KUBO’s Ultra Clima® concept will soon also be seen in Lipetsk, namely higher production, maximum food safety, minimum energy consumption, minimum water consumption and a higher yield.
