According to the data, Tesco started to offer organic British cucumbers again this week after offering mainly Spanish and some Dutch organic cucumbers for the last 8 weeks. This makes Tesco the only British supermarket with organic British cucumbers on their shelves, as Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Co-op have been respectively offering Belgian, Spanish and Dutch organic cucumbers over the last couple of weeks. The prices for a cucumber are between £1, (Tesco, Morrisons) and £1,30 (M&S).
Red British bell peppers can be found at Tesco, Morrisons and M&S this week. Other retailers like Sainsbury's, Asda, Co-op, Aldi and Lidl are offering Dutch red bell peppers. Lidl and Aldi offer them at the lowest price of 45 pence, while at Co-op they cost as much as 65 pence.
Consumers that are looking for British baby plum tomatoes should head to Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and M&S this week. Spanish baby plum tomatoes can be found at Lidl and Aldi, while Sainsbury's and Co-op have Moroccan baby plums in stock. After offering British baby plum tomatoes for the last 12 weeks, Waitrose started to offer Dutch baby plums this week. Prices are between £2,30/Kg at Co-op and £7,20 at Waitrose and M&S.
