GreenTech 2016 draws 9,721 visitors to Amsterdam

Yesterday, after spending three busy days at the second edition of the GreenTech in Amsterdam, we wrapped up our photo report. We are currently very busy with sorting everything out in order to publish the complete photo recap on Monday June 20.

For now, we can share with you the fact that the second edition was an overall successful event that attracted a total of 9,721 visitors from a total of 113 countries. Compared to its first edition in 2014, the show has grown into a more complete event, supported by the additional activities, education platforms, inspiring sessions and the Association of Vertical Farming's summit the day prior to the trade show. Click here for our recap of that event.

The number of exhibitors grew by 35% from 298 to 415 in 2016, representing 36 countries, making the event a global hotspot to do business for everyone involved in horticulture technology. This edition 52% of the visitors came from outside the Netherlands, compared to 41% in 2014. The largest growth came from Asia and the USA. According to a statement released by the organizer, RAI Amsterdam, all these professionals together resulted in 185,000 international business meetings.
