Netherlands: Havecon building for Havecon

There's a lot that can be said about horticulture - but it's definitely not boring. Henk Verbakel of Havecon sees ups and downs as well. "But fortunately there are still many positives for the entire sector."

For Havecon, for instance, that's the growth they saw in recent years: internationally, but also at home in the Netherlands. The company is currently working on several projects, like Noordvliet phase 4, Seasun, Hoogweg, Beekenkamp and Gebroeders van Adrichem. Partly because of this growth, Havecon decided last year to build a new warehouse in order to further improve logistics and production.

Last week, construction started. All in all, the company building will be over 7,200 m² with a chance of expansion, and, like the current office, is located at industrial park De Hoefslag in Bleiswijk. The offices will remain at the current location in the Marconistraat. The company hopes to be able to move production at the end of 2016.
