Italy: New Gautier oak leaf lettuce varieties available for Italian growers

Gautier is an integrated seed company established in France in 1952. It guarantees high standards and works mainly in Europe and in the Mediterranean basin. As of 2nd May 2007, the development and sale of the products in Italy are carried out directly through Gautier Italia Srl, located in Cesena (Emilia-Romagna).

Among the many varieties supplied by the company, there is a wide range of oak leaf lettuce, suitable for any period and any area.

Parinice - Compact Summer lettuce
Blonde oak leaf salad with medium head. Smooth bright green leaves. Healthy closed bottom, easy to prepare.

Good tolerance to Tip Burn and bolting. Ideal to be cultivated in open fields during Summer.

Rodanice - Volume and yields
New voluminous, blonde oak leaf lettuce with a good weight. Good quality bottoms, flat and closed. High tolerance to tip burn. Ideal for open field cultivation in Spring and Autumn.

Belgarde - Volume and plasticity

Hussarde - Colour and presentation
Berenice-type red variety. Good volume with oblong erect head. Oblong, lanceolate, deep red leaves, very original. Average tolerance to bolting. Ideal for open field cultivation in spring and autumn. Summer cultivation is possible depending on the area.
