“The Conviron Green Leaf Award is presented to organizations that have made significant investments in new technology that will drive discovery and progress in plant science and agricultural production in the years to come,” said Steve Kroft, Conviron’s CEO.

Two Conviron representatives, Dann Adair and Sharon Reid, along with Yurij Duda from Argus Controls, were on hand to present the award in person to Dr. Carrington on the occasion of the DDPSC’s New Wing Open House.

The new wing is a significant expansion for the DDPSC and includes new collaborative laboratory spaces, cutting-edge robotics facilities as well as 34 state-of-the-art Conviron plant growth chambers and rooms featuring Argus controls.

The Open House featured talks throughout the afternoon about the future of scientific research in the areas of food security, bioenergy, and environmental sustainability. It also underscored the important role the new William H. Danforth Wing plays in accelerating the pace of discovery. “This Open House featured tours of the new technology available at the facility as well as lively discussions with members of the scientific community related to agriculture, plant science and the Danforth Center’s contribution to humankind,” said Sharon Reid, Conviron’s North American Sales Manager.
