Video : Inside CASI's large tomato sorting facility

The cooperative CASI has recently uploaded a video showcasing its new tomato handling facilities, the largest and most modern in Europe, result of an investment totalling 11 million Euro in the latest machinery and technology available on the market.

Its 42,000 m² will allow it to better meet the market demands, handling a volume of approximately 2 million kilos per day.

The cooperative has more than 1,200 workers. Its president affirms that "the fact that we are installing the latest technology does not mean that CASI will stop hiring labourers. Not only are we not reducing our staff, but we are actually increasing it, because having these facilities will allow us to carry out our tasks that CASI was previously hardly able to handle."
