"Electric-thermal foggers ideal for biocultivation"
Jos Veugen from the Netherlands is developing an electric-thermal fogger. The main advantage of this fogger over the ordinarily used Pulsfog is that no petrol fumes are released. That makes this fogger ideal for organic cultivation.
Organic growers
Veugen: "The demand for an electric fogger came from organic growers. In response to this, we will be completing the development process and launching it at the end of the year." The name for this brand new Veugen product will be SynoFog. To disperse plant protection products a choice can currently be made between thermal fogging (Pulsfog) or cold water fogging (LVM). An overview of the pros and cons:
Pulsfog has a capacity of 60 l/h. LVM only 4 to 8 l/hour.
LVM is a fully automatic system. Pulsfog is not. It is advisable to stand by.
Pulsfog is mobile. This mobility allows for better distribution in the greenhouse. LVM is not very mobile.
LVM is suitable for use with plant protection products that should not be heated to prevent a certain chemical reaction.
