Tomatoes under artificial light come first

"Crop rotations fully underway."

These days the crop rotation period is in full swing. Traditionally, companies with tomatoes under artificial light come first. Last Monday, power-operated service supply agency van Veldhoven already shredded 10ha of crop at Schenkeveld Tomaten. The job was completed successfully and on schedule, as Dennis van Veldhoven indicates.

The picture shows the mechanical shredding of the old crop. At the top you see the artificial lights are already fully wrapped up in order to clean the greenhouse roof. This happens immediately after the stone wool and the old crop has been removed from the greenhouse.

Van Veldhoven also indicates that during the rotation growers are increasingly demanding concerning the hygiene protocol. Since last year, the contractor therefore has acquired a wider range of disinfectants. Recently, the fully odorless HuwaSan was added. This product contains, unlike many other products, no harmful substances. As a result, after disinfecting, greenhouses can be quickly reentered for the new crop.
