Monsanto Canada has been selected as one of Canada's Best Workplaces in the Great Place to Work Institute's annual ranking of Canadian businesses. Monsanto placed 25thon the list of large and multinational workplaces. This is the first time Monsanto Canada has qualified for the award.
The Great Place to Work Institute researches and recognizes workplaces in more than 45 countries. Based on data collected from over 10 million employees, this is the world's largest study of workplace excellence and people management practices. Employees respond to questions about credibility, respect, fairness, pride, camaraderie, and workplace culture.
During the annual Great Place to Work awards ceremony, held April 9th in Toronto, Monsanto Canada also received a 5th place ranking on the list of Best Places to Work for Women.
"Being named a great place to work is an honour for any employer and we consider it a real milestone," said Cathy Pickard, human resources director for Monsanto Canada. "The ranking comes straight from the employees who work here every day. We are proud of the atmosphere of collaboration we've created within our organization and the special effort we've made to focus on diversity and inclusion. This recognition reinforces that our focus is making a difference to employees."
For the purpose of this ranking, a great place to work is defined as one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with.
