Jamaica to have its own aquaponic conference
Symposium participants will take a field trip to visit INMED’s aquaponic systems, which have been constructed across the island in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). As you know, aquaponics can provide livelihoods and food security for small-scale farmers, youth, disabled people, and women. The systems also conserve space, water, and energy, making them ideal for the Caribbean’s climate challenges. These and many other topics will be discussed, with speakers from the USAID, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.
