Growing mushrooms underneath tomato crops

Growing commercial greenhouse tomatoes and mushrooms in the same greenhouse? According to the Turkish greenhouse consultant H. Ertugrul Sahin this should be possible. He wants to find partners to develop a special greenhouse gutter for a trial project. The plan is to grow high wire greenhouse tomatoes on a gutter system and create a closed space underneath the gutter for the mushroom cultivation.

While greenhouse vegetables and mushrooms are totally different crops, the special gutter design should enable a separate controlled environment with a preferred climate below the tomato crop.
