LCC1:

Senmatic introduces basic, low cost climate computer for tunnel greenhouses

Senmatic has developed a new climate computer especially designed for basic tunnel greenhouses. The new LCC1 climate computer is easy to install and even easier to use.

"We have designed this new climate controller especially for the growers that have simple low cost tunnel greenhouses with minimal automation", said Senmatic’s Morten Hjorth. "In some regions growers do not require expensive technology, but that doesn't mean that they do not require accurate technology. Our LCC1 is a computer that is able to steer and control the basic things, but with the highest level of accuracy."

The new Senmatic Logic Climate Control is specially designed for use in basic, low cost tunnel greenhouses. "With the LCC1, we give growers accurate technology that is easy to install and to use and will contribute to energy savings", Morten Hjorth said.

The LCC is a robust, industrial unit that can be installed in series. "Basically a grower can control one greenhouse with one LCC1 unit. From the outside the simple interface allows the grower to make basic settings and program the controls. The LCC1 can be controlled manually or fully automated with a flick of a switch. Basic handlings are controlling the temperature by opening and closing of the vents, opening and closing of screening. As well as this the LCC1 can control irrigation systems and tunnel fans for the inflation of the insulated greenhouse films. Furthermore it is possible to have one daily forced closure of the vents in a period of time, which is optional.

The LCC is developed together with nursery growers; this is clearly expressed by the user friendliness of the computer. It is possible to connect several LCC1 climate computers in series computers so that they can share the incoming data from one and the same weather station.

The weather station comes with wind speed and wind direction sensors as standard. The weather station can be expanded with optional rain and light sensors.

The flexible composition of the hardware in the LCC1 makes it possible to choose different sensors, e.g. sensors for built-in or stand alone (hanging) sensors. This flexibility makes it possible to use it in many different installations.
