Green Bay, Wisconsin, is the site of “Fields of Green”, the Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Florists Association’s annual convention. The 2015 meeting will be held at the Green Bay Radisson Hotel & Convention Center, March 20-22.

WUMFA President Diane Schulte, CF, WMFM, expressed the hope that members will “use this opportunity to build your success at home where your “fields of green” flourish.

Convention design presenters include Loann Burke, AIFD, CFD, PFCI; Jim Kolb; Randy Wooten, AIFD, GMF, PFCI, and Kevin Ylvisaker, AIFD, CAFA, CFD, PFCI. The business sessions will feature Mark Anderson, Mike Homyak, Jr., Tim Huckabee, AIFSE, and Derrick Myers, CPA, CFP, PFCI.

Friday’s schedule will be devoted to an all day hands-on wedding workshop. This will be followed on Saturday, March 21, with a hands-on design workshop, business sessions on building your team, sales, and weddings, and two sessions on promoting plants. The main stage design show will cover prom styles and trends.

The final day will focus on another wedding workshop, ribbons and trims, reducing business costs and sales techniques. There will be two main stage design shows, one on wedding color palettes, and the other on sympathy sales.

The annual trade fair will run all day Saturday and until 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Winners of the design contest will be announced during the Saturday night Hall of Fame awards and recognition dinner. The contest, itself, will take place earlier in the day. There will be a professional division, designer of the year contest, and a tabletop shop competition. Competitors will receive certificates, cash awards, and recognition in The Professional Florist magazine.

Expo registration fees remain affordable thanks in part to these fine sponsors: BloomNet, Crockett Myers, DWF, FloristWare, FTD, Karthauser & Son, Krueger, Reliant Ribbon, Rojahn & Malaney, Smithers Oasis, Teleflora, WI Florist Foundation and WI Tropical Gardens.
