Fruit Logistica, Hall 4.1 - Stand D-10

Fight Drosophila Suzukii with Arrigoni

"In 2014, things were made difficult by warm temperatures during winter, which did not favour the sales of protective nets. The development of Arricover slowed down as a consequence," explained Paolo Arrigoni, managing director of a company specialising in the production of agricultural nets.

"2015 is looking better thanks to colder temperatures. Our Biorete 25 Mesh against Drosophila Suzukii is becoming particularly popular with the main players of the sector. Moreover, a weaker Euro should help us penetrate the US."

"Our objectives for this year will therefore be to strengthen our brand, cooperate with research institutes and our main clients, and expand in the US."

Arrigoni will attend Fruit Logistica with its wide range of shading, anti-hail and anti-insect nets, but the place of honour is reserved for Arricover, the innovative thick yet transparent net, Biorete 25 Mesh and Biorete 25 Mesh Air Plus, anti-insect nets are suitable for protecting soft and stonefruit against Drosophila Suzukii.

Arricover is available in 2, 10 and 24 metre-wide rolls and is perfect not only for protected crops, but for open field cultivation too. It is an alternative to non-woven fabric and has great results on autumn-winter crops (leek, cabbage, beet, salad, parsley) as well as spring-summer ones (melon, watermelon, red chicory, tomatoes, peppers, strawberries).

Biorete 25 Mesh is heavier and more rigid, with holes measuring 0.97 x 0.72 mm.

Biorete 25 Mesh Air Plus was obtained by combining the Arlene (high-resistance filaments) and Air Plus (increased air permeability) technologies in order to obtain the best insect barrier/air circulation ratio. The holes measure 0.77 x 1.02 mm.

Export manager Patrizia Giuliani, agricultural manager Aldo Maggi and agronomist Giuseppe Netti will present the technical characteristics, functions and applications of the wide range of Arrigoni products in Stand D-10 in Hall 4.1. Between 27th and 30th January, the company will also attend IPM in Essen (Hall 3 - Stand B46).
