US (ME): Backyard Farms greenhouse is turning 'pink'

Backyard Farms' announce on their blog that their Somerset Pinks have been a big hit among tomato lovers in Maine and New Hampshire over the past few months.

"We’ve received tons of great feedback from consumers and we have some exciting news to share: We are expanding production of our Somerset Pinks in our greenhouse and they’ll be available in more stores soon!

Starting this week, we’ll be dedicating more rows in our greenhouse to the new variety.

Our new seeds have been planted in a separate greenhouse that specializes in new crops. Once they’re about a foot tall, they’ll be moved into their new home in our greenhouse in Madison, Maine.

When our new Somerset Pink crop begins producing fruit in a few months, we'll be sure to let you know where you can find them. In the meantime, look for them in any of these 69 Hannaford stores across New England (click here for a full list of locations). If you're having trouble finding them in any of these stores, please ask your produce manager for more information.

Also, throughout February and March, we’ll be sampling our Somerset Pinks in Hannaford stores in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Here’s the full list of sampling dates and locations that are taking place throughout February, and stay tuned for the March schedule."
