"2014 will surely be as good as previous years"

"Changes in the European market are forcing companies to expand their views. It certainly has much to do with being able to offer the complete package," says Henk Verbakel, of Havecon Projects, on the changing market in which the greenhouse builder operates. The company from Oxford has been operating successfully for many years, "and 2014 will certainly be as good. We have managed to keep the portfolio steadily filled."

Havecon (usually with its partners) is gradually working more and more for foreign producers and investors. Right now, it is setting up 18 hectares of new construction in Michigan; a complete project. Early next year, pepper plants will go into the greenhouse. "Following the "Dutch construction standards", and together with the team of Voorwinden Group, we can easily and quickly meet the deadlines," says Verbakel.

This year, Havecon will be participating for the fifth time in the Canadian Greenhouse Conference. "Given the international activities organised, it is the right place for us," says Verbakel. Of course, everyone is welcome to visit us and get to know the people behind Havecon, including the new seller Jon Adams. He was recently hired as reinforcement for the North American market; to take it in the right direction.
