"Lack of Dutch flavoured tomatoes is a loss for the Russians!"

Last week the tomato received much attention in a Dutch newspaper, NRC. In response to the Russian boycott, the newspaper concludes that the lack of Dutch flavoured tomatoes is a loss for the Russians.

Besides, the newspaper visited three Dutch tomato growers. Grower Wim Bijma supplies ‘high-quality restaurants and retailers’ with tomatoes from his greenhouse. This greenhouse is located Osdorp, the Netherlands. Gert Jan Hageman uses home-grown tomatoes in his restaurant; De Kas, in Amsterdam. The final nursery that has been visited is Agro Care. Agro Care is a famous tomato producer and produces six million kilos a year.
