Dmitro Hryn, a 25-year-old from Ladihyn, has turned his passion for strawberry farming into a successful venture. Starting with two greenhouses, he now manages seven, delivering fragrant strawberries to delighted customers. His journey began after school when he discovered his love for agriculture during internships in Germany. Despite challenges, Dmitro's perseverance has led to his thriving business on his grandmother's land.
With the support of the charitable foundation "MHP Community," Dmitro received a grant, using it to construct the final two greenhouses.
Currently, Dmitro tends to 4,000 Italian strawberry bushes, including early and ever-bearing varieties. He aims to support local producers by incorporating Ukrainian strains. He advises newcomers to choose suppliers wisely, as it significantly impacts yields.
His expansion plans include applying for another grant from the MHP Community and exploring new opportunities. As the fund launches its "Do Your Own Business" contest, offering up to 100,000 UAH for entrepreneurial ventures, Dmitro encourages others to seize such opportunities.
"MHP Community" Charity Fund Director Tetiana Volochai emphasizes their commitment to community development. Since 2015, they've supported regions affected by war, aiding defenders, medical facilities, orphanages, and displaced people.
