Revol Greens' Tehachapi, California facility has played a pivotal role in accelerating the company's expansion into the southern and Midwestern regions. With Revol Greens' fourth and newest greenhouse in Texas now in full operations, the company is announcing plans to transition the California facility and optimize its production area at the company's flagship facility in Texas. Revol Greens' greenhouse in Texas, covering 20 acres, will consolidate the baby leaf production and add additional capacity to its head lettuce production to support the strong customer base that the California facility has built; California will continue its head program throughout this transition. These transitions maximize the company's production capacity with a focus on cost competitiveness in a dynamic market.
Equilibrium, the owner of the Tehachapi greenhouse, concurrently announced imminent plans to lease 32 acres of greenhouse capacity of the Tehachapi facility to a leading tomato grower and marketer. The new tomato operation at that site provides an opportunity for Revol Greens to repurpose the valuable leafy greens greenhouse assets in California and to focus on continuing to grow with customers in its core markets.
