The main base for packing and distribution is in Redditch, West Midlands. Ability to travel to farms and suppliers throughout the UK and if required overseas essential.
This position is a great opportunity for a Technical Manager with experience in Fresh Produce who wishes to be at the centre of new food trends and whom has high principles regarding the way food should be produced and supplied. Mindful Chef are looking for a Technical Manager to oversee and manage the Quality, Safety and Legality of the products from sourcing through to the customer. The role includes managing the relationship with suppliers and ensuring that the highest standards of quality, ethical and environmental practices are met.
Key Responsibility Summary
-Responsible for the Quality, Safety and Legality of the products at all stages in the supply chain
-Works day to day as a key team member with the QC, Commercial, Procurement and Packing colleagues
-Implement Mindful Chef standards and improvement in the way product is sourced, produced and managed throughout the supply chain
-Knows our sources and builds relationship with suppliers to enhance their focus on Mindful Chef
-Drives innovation and improvement in quality and packaging
-Collates and manages supplier performance and compliance data
Skills and Experience
-A great Team player who is stimulated by working within a dynamic and changing environment
-Motivation and drive to deliver change and improvement across a wide supply base
-A passion for food, fresh produce and agriculture
-Appropriate Technical qualifications, knowledge and experience in the Food industry
-Knowledge of industry standards in Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Safety and Legality, Environment and Ethics
